Taking care and cleaning wooden jelwery
We recommend to always wash your hands before touching wooden jewelry. That way, the surface remains clean and stainless much longer.
Genuine sterling silver will turn darker as time passes. Tarnished silver can be cleaned and polished easily. We recommend to use a special cleaning cloth which can be obtained from most jewellery shops. Fluidlike cleaning substances may stain or damage the wooden parts.
Especially light wood types such as birch, will turn a little more yellow as time passes by. In addition, uncleanliness is easier to be seen on light surfaces. Thus, it is important to clean the jewellery with a soft clotch after each period of use. The best storing place for our jewellery is their own box. In there, they are protected from the detoriating effects of light and other jewellery cannot scratch them.
Impacts and compression may damage wooden jewellery permanently. Some stones may be brittle, too. Avoid dropping the jewellery on hard floor.
Hairspray, perfumes and other chemicals damage wooden surfaces. Please put the jewellery on as the last thing after make-up and getting ready.
Water will eventually damage wooden jewellery. We recommend to avoid making the jewellery wet. Please remove them before taking a shower, swimming or going to a sauna.
